The Greater Yaletown Community Association (GYCA) represents the interests of residents – individuals, families, stratas and businesses – in the southern portion of downtown.
The GYCA is a volunteer based non-profit organization with a vision to create a vibrant, active community for all through a spirit of shared purpose and belonging.
The organization operates under the principle of if you see yourself as a resident of Greater Yaletown and wish to be a member, you are.
As such the boundaries of the Greater Yaletown region are fluid and not fixed. For the cartophiles among us, Greater Yaletown’s rough boundaries are:
- to the Northwest – Burrard St.;
- to the Northeast – Georgia St.; and
- to the South – False Creek.
The GYCA works with its peer downtown community organizations representing the West End, False Creek, and Chinatown.
